Chassis Speaker
Dell™ OptiPlex™ SX280 User's Guide
Your computer may ship with an optional chassis speaker. If you need to replace this speaker or install a new speaker, perform the following steps:
1.
Follow the procedures in "
Before You Begin
."
2.
If you are installing a new speaker, skip to
3.
If you are replacing the speaker:
a.
Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.
b.
Press on the tab and slide the speaker out of the slot and remove the speaker and its attached cable from the computer.
4.
Insert the chassis speaker into the slot and then slide the speaker until the speaker is secured.
CAUTION:
Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the safety instructions in the Product Information Guide.
CAUTION:
To guard against electrical shock, always unplug your computer from the electrical outlet before opening the cover.
