Most paper sizes can be loaded in the trays either long-edge feed or short-edge feed, however,
printing long-edge feed is recommended to optimize the life of the printer, supplies, and print
speed.
Loading Paper in Tray 1 (MPT)
Tray 1 (MPT) accepts the following paper types:
• Plain paper
• Heavy plain paper
• Transparencies
• Thin Card Stock
• Card Stock
• Thick Card Stock
• Extra Thick Card Stock
• Envelopes
• Labels
• Letterhead
• Thin Glossy Paper
• Glossy Paper

• Custom types
Tray 1 (MPT) accepts a maximum of:
• 100 sheets of plain paper (20 lb. Bond)
• 50 transparencies, postcards, sheets of labels, or sheets of glossy paper
• 10 envelopes
* This recycled paper includes general office paper with renewable content, recycled content,
and paper that is chlorine free.
