Removing the Power-Button

Prerequisites
1 Remove the battery .
2 Remove the base cover .
3 Remove the keyboard .
4 Remove the memory module(s) .
5 Remove the wireless card .
6 Remove the hard drive .
Procedure
1 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 7 in “Removing the Palm Rest ”.
2 Peel the tape from the power-button board.
3 Remove the screw that secures the power-button board to the palm rest.
4 Note the power-button cable routing and peel the cable from the palm
rest.
