Removing the Optical Drive
1.
Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin
.
2.
Follow the instructions in
Removing the Palm Rest
.
3.
Remove the two screws that secure the optical drive to the computer base.
4.
Release the connector latch to disconnect the optical drive cable from the system board connector.
5.
Lift the optical drive out of the computer base.
Replacing the Optical Drive
1.
Place the optical drive back in position and replace the two screws that secure the optical drive to the computer base.
2.
Connect the optical drive cable to the system board connector.
3.
