Ensure that all cables are properly connected.

Troubleshooting the System Battery

 

Problem

l

 

System message indicates a problem with the battery.

l

 

System Setup program loses system configuration information.

l

 

System date and time do not remain current.

 

Action

authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not
authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.

NOTE:

If the system is turned off for long periods of time (weeks or months), the NVRAM may lose its system configuration information. This situation is

caused by a defective battery.
