"dangerous voltage" within the prod­
uct’s enclosure that may be of suffi­

the

presence

of

important

operating and maintenance (servicing)

instructions in the literature accompa­
nying the appliance.

The model number is located at the front and rear of the unit

and the serial number is on the top. Record the serial
number in the space provided below. Refer to these
numbers whenever you call upon your Sony service dealer

regarding this product.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with

This English language instruction manual
covers both the Canadian and U.S.A. models of
the SLV-R1000.
The models are the same with the exception of

the MENU screen, where LANGUAGE option
allows you to select either French or English as

your on-screen language. (See page 17 for
details)

NOTE TO CATV SYSTEM INSTALLERS IN THE U.S.A.:

This reminder is provided to call the cable TV system
installer’s attention to Article 820*40 of the NEC that
provides guidelines for proper grounding and, in
particular, specifies that the cable ground shall be
connected to the grounding system in the building, as
close to the point of cable entry as practical.
