Audio dubbing

You can record an audio sound to add to the original aeund on a tape by connecting
audio equipment or a microphone. If you cormect the audio equipment, you can add a
sound on your recorded tape by specifying starting and ending points. The original
sound will not be erased.

Connect the audio equipment using the RK-G128 cormecting cable (not supplied) or a
microphone (not supplied).

Note

You can check the recorded sound cormecting the AUDIO VIDEO OUT/0
(headphones) jack to headphones.
The recorded sound is not output from the speaker. Check the sound by using
headphones.

Notes on audio dubbing

• A new sound caimot be recorded on a tape already recorded in the 16BIT mode (32

kHz, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz).

• When an external microphone is not cormected, the recording will be made through

the built-in microphone of the camcorder.

• A new sound carmot be recorded on a tape already recorded in the LP mode.
• If you add a new sotmd on a tape recorded with another camcorder (including

another DCR-PCl), the sound quality may deteriorate.

• Remove the AV cormecting cable from the camcorder. If not removed, audio dubbing

is not possible.
