Returning to a Pre-registered Position

You can easily go back to the desired point on a tape after playback.

Use the tape counter. When the RC time cord appears in the display window, press COUNTER/TIME

CODE to display the tape counter.

During playback, press COUNTER RESET at the point you later want to locate. The counter shows

"0:00:00" in the viewfinder and the display window.

Press □ when you want to stop playback.

Press ZERO MEM to stop rewinding at the counter's zero point. The "ZERO MEM" indicator flashes

in the viewfinder and the display window.

The tape stop>s automatically when the counter

reaches approximately zero.

Notes on the tape counter

• Something must be recorded on the tape in order for the tape counter to function. Tape counter does

not work on a blank tape.

• There may be a discrepancy of several seconds from the actual time.

Notes on ZERO MEM

• When you press ZERO MEM, the counter's zero point is memorized.

• This fimction is canceled automatically once the tape is rewound or sent forward to the point you pre­

registered.

• Be sure to press ZERO MEM when the tape is stopping. It does not furtction during recording or

playing back.

Using this Function in Reverse

You can return to a desired position after rewittding with this function. Press COUNTER RESET at the
point you want to return to later. Press ■4^. Press □ when you want to stop rewinding. Press ZERO

MEM. Press

The tape automatically stops near the zero point you first set.
