Camera Care and Maintenance

Clean the camera by using the following methods when the camera, lens, viewfinder, LCD monitor
or other surfaces become dirty.

Camera Body:

Wipe the camera body with a soft cloth or eyegiass lens wiper.

Lens:

Ciean dust and dirt off the iens with a commercialiy avaiiabie lens blower brush, then wipe lightiy

with a soft cioth.

• Never wipe the camera or lens with cieaners that contain organic soivents. if you are unable to

remove the dirt from the iens, contact the Canon Customer Support Help Desk.

Viewfinder:

Clean with a lens blower brush. If necessary, wipe lightly with a soft cloth or eyeglass lens wiper.

LCD Monitor:

Clean with a lens blower brush. If necessary, wipe lightly with a soft cloth or eyeglass lens wiper.

• Don't press strongly on the monitor or rub it forcefully. Strong pressure or rubbing may cause

scratches on the surface.

O Never use water, paint thinner, benzene, or detergents to clean the camera, as these may cause damage

or deformation.
