OEM Shifter Removal
STEP 14:
Using a larger flat head screwdriver, pry
off of the shifter to rotate the cable base
out of the shifter as shown in FIG 14 and
remove it from the shifter.
STEP 13:
Use a small flat head screwdriver and bend the cotter pins straight, remove both cot-
ter pins securing the cable end links to the shifter (FIG 13A) and pull them off the
shifter (FIG 13B).
STEP 15:
Again using the same flat head screwdriv-
er, pry off the C-clip as illustrated in FIG
15 and slide the cable up out of the shift-
er.
