•Underlined items are factory preset.

When connecting an amplifier (with an optical/coaxial digital

input connector) which does not contain a Dolby Digital
(AC-3) or dts decoder, be sure to select “PCM" at the
“2 Dolby Digital” and at the “3 dts". If “Bitstream" is selected,
any attempt to play DVDs (or CDs recorded in dts) may
cause such a high level of noise that it may be harmful to
your ears and damage your speakers.

*2 96 kHz LPCM sound is converted to 48 kHz 16 bit sound

when this player is connected with an optical digital audio
cable or coaxial audio cable.

Do the following if you wish to take advantage of high quality

96 kHz sound.
Select ‘‘1 No” and connect this player’s audio output connec
tor to an amplifier’s audio input connector with the audio/
video cable (included) or an audio cable (not included).
Note that LPCM, Dolby Digital and dts signals will all be out
put in 2 channel, analog form.
