“Out of range” is

o You are too far from the base unit.
Move closer and try again,
o Place the handset on the base unit and
try again.
o Plug in the AC adaptor,
o Raise the base unit antenna.
Static, sound cuts in/out,
fades. Interference from
other electrical units.
o Locate the handset and the base unit
away from other electrical appliances
(P. 3).
o Move closer to the base unit,
o Raise the base unit antenna,
o Press [CHl to select a clearer channel.
The handset does not ring. » The ringer volume is set to OFF. Press
(RINGER) while the TALK indicator light is
off (p. 21).
The handset display is blank. o The handset is in the stand-by mode
(p. 15). Press SEARCH 0 or 0 to turn
the display on.

® Charge the battery fully (p. 14).
You cannot program items,
such as the dialing mode. « Programming is not possible while the
unit is in the talk or intercom mode, when
viewing caller information, or while the
answering system is in use.
o Do not pause for over 60 seconds while
programming.

pressed when you picked up the handset.
