D-NET File Transfer Ports

Instant Replay can transfer its files to other 360 Systems products and certain DAT recorders using
the D-NET file transfer network. D-NET uses AES/EBU protocols, and the digital audio inputs and
outputs described above. The choice between XLR and RCA input connectors is made as a menu
selection. Both XLR and RCA outputs are always active during D-NET transfers.

D-NET data is not standard digital audio, and may not be listened to. See the section titled D-NET
File Transfers for complete information on using this network.

WARNING:

SOME EQUIPMENT CONNECTED TO THE DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUTS OF THE INSTANT REPLAY

MAY TRY TO REPRODUCE D-NET TRANSFERS. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO

LOUDSPEAKERS IF THE LEVEL IS SUFFICIENT.

Printer Port

This is a standard parallel printer port on a 25 pin "D" connector. Although many printers may be used,
360 Systems has tested the following models:

Printers that implement Hewlett Packard PCL Level 4 and above should be compatible with the
HEWLETT PACKARD mode. Printers that support Epson LQ mode should be compatible with the
CANON BJ mode.

Note that printers that require Windows 95 or 98 may not work with Instant Replay.

The printer can provide a variety of different listings about audio materials stored in Instant Replay.
