4.24. Place jack stands under the frame, 6” - 12” in

front of the rear cross-member. Do not lift the
tractor onto the jack stands. Raise the jack
stands to meet the frame. Some adjustment can
be made using shims or rear tire pressure.

WARNING: The transmission housings are
mounted to the underside of the frame. If the
frame is raised and the mounting bolts removed,
then the brake assembly will be resting on the
inside of the frame rail.

4.25. Remove the four nylon lock nuts, flat washers

and bolts securing the transmission to the frame
using 3/4” wrench and a 3/4 socket.

CAUTION: Slowly roll the wheels and transmis-
sion rearward while guiding the brake rods
through the frame. The transmission is rear-
heavy, do not allow it to rotate backward.
