1 Lay battery onto a soft non-metallic surface Fit the longest
part of the carry strap with the handle loop around the
side of the battery
The battery terminals will be
located on the side at the top
Fasten strap through
buckle and velcro
®
together
2 With battery turned on it’s bottom, fasten shorter part of
strap around the battery; pass strap through the buckle
and fasten together (Fig 16] See also battery installation
on page 20

Your batteries are located under the rear cover positioned
below your seat The two batteries are secured to the Scooter
frame by velcro
®
hold down straps Each strap passes from
the chassis anchor point, around the battery and through a
metal loop positioned on the seat mounting post The strap is
fastened tightly, and simply locks together via a velcro
®
adhesive technique (see Fig 17 and Fig 18]

Drive your
Scooter close to the vehicle into which you are
about to load it You may need some assistance to lift the
components once your machine is dismantled

Switch off your scooter First remove the seat by releasing
the ‘black’ locking lever Rotate the seat 90˚ to the right
or left, lift the seat upwards slightly twisting This will
release it from its mounting tube (Fig 1, page 6]

Lift up the rear cover, disconnect the rear light plug and
socket (Fig 19], place safely to one side Note the cover
is secured by velcro® type material at each side at the
front and in the centre The rear cover can be
repositioned once the batteries are removed Unfasten the
battery locating straps (Fig 17 - 18] by parting the
velcro® fastening

Battery Plugs: Disconnect the two ‘black’ shrouded

apart These plugs are polarized and can only be fitted
together one way Do not force together when re-
assembling (Fig 20]

Carefully lift up each battery with the black strap
provided Use two hands for this operation, one on the
strap and one to steady the battery (Fig 21]
Note: Make certain that the carry strap is fastened tightly
prior to lifting the battery Place the batteries on a firm and
safe surface Your batteries are sealed and cannot spill if
tipped over Always carry the batteries upright
Warning:
Do not place metal objects over open battery
terminals BEWARE of short circuits Make certain the
terminals are covered by the red and black plastic protectors at
all times

Lift the front wire basket from the mounting bracket
on the handlebar cover, you will note this mounts on
three clips (Fig 22, page 18]
