X To configure Business Interaction Server validation parameters

In the Ascent Capture Administration module, from the BIS menu, select

Configuration.
The Business Interaction Server - Ascent Capture Add-ins Configuration

window appears.

Click the Validation Parameters tab.

To add or edit the reason that a customer needs to resubmit a document, do

the following:

Click Add to add a new reason to the list or select an existing reason and

click Edit to modify it.
The Add Reason or Edit Reason window appears.

In the Name field, type or edit the name of the reason that the document

needs to be resubmitted.
This name will appear as one of the “reasons” that operators can select in

the drop-down list box on the Business Interaction Server - Notification

window. For further information, see Chapter 4, How Operators Work with

Notifications on page 17.
Example:

Missing quantity

In the Text field, type or edit the statement explaining why the document

needs to be resubmitted.
Example:

Your order cannot be processed because the quantity

you want to order is not indicated on your order form. Please

fill in the missing information and resubmit your order.

For “Pass-through documents,” select the check box if you want the

Ascent Xtrata Pro Validation module to include the original customer

document with the manual notification.
By default, this check box is not selected.

Note

Selecting this check box automatically selects the “Send pass-

through documents” check box on the Business Interaction Server -

Notification window that operators see. For details about this window,

see How Operators Work with Notifications on page 17.
