Programming 11-65000 Using a terminal Program

Programming the 11-65000 with a personal computer or terminal is easy because all programming functions are
accomplished using simple to understand menus. Just choose what you want to do from the menu, and you will
then either be given a sub-menu to further describe the required function, or you will be asked to enter information
necessary to carry out the programming function you desire.
Secura Key’s SA-NET™ Software was developed to program one or more 28SA-Plus’s, to upload transactions to a
PC,and to produce event reports. SA-LINKTM software is also available for basic programming and transaction viewin
If you use a personal computer, and it does not have a built-in terminal or communications program, use one of the
many available commercial programs, such as Procomm or a Windows terminal program. Your computer or terminal
(or serial printer) should be set as follows:

Baud

9600 (or higher)

Start bit

1

Data bits

8

Stop bit

1

Parity

None

Emulation

ANSI (or compatible)

BAUd rAte

The Baud Rate of the ENTRACOMP® 28SA-Plus defaults to 9600, but may be changed via the menu system using a
PC or terminal. Baud Rates up to 38,400 are possible, although not all PC COM ports are capable of high data rates.
Once changed, the new Baud Rate will become effective the next time you log onto the system or connect a
printer. The Baud Rate may also be set using a Programming Deck (see page 29). Note that if you are using Secura
Key software or any other terminal software, the Baud Rate at the reader must match the Baud Rate at the PC.
