Raise the printhead lock lever and push it in until you hear it catch.

Pull the carriage cover down and forward until you hear it catch.
“Close Upper Cover” is displayed.

Close the upper cover.
“Ins. Ink Tank OK” is displayed. The lock on the right cover releases
automatically and the right cover opens. Install the ink tanks now.
