Important
z When this printer is used via a network connection, first switch the printer on then
visually check the LINK lamp (a) to confirm that it is lit. For 100BASE the lamp
should light green, and for 10BASE it should light yellow.
z If the LINK lamp does not light, check the following points:
• Is the HUB switched on?
→ If the HUB is switched off, switch it on.
• Is the LAN cable connected securely?
→ Confirm that the LAN cable connectors are clicked and locked in place securely.
• Is the LAN cable defective?
→ Connect another LAN cable and visually check the lamp again.
• Is the communication method correct for the HUB?
→ Switch the printer off then set the DIP SW (b) settings to the correct
positions for the communication method.
