Playing/Erasing Sound Memos

• You cannot attach sound memos to movies.
• The “Memory card full” message will display when the CF card is full

and you will be unable to record sound memos to that card.

• If an incompatible sound memo is attached to an image, you will be

unable to record or play sound memos for that image, and the
“Incompatible WAVE format” message will display. You can erase
incompatible sound data using the camera.

• Sound memos for protected images cannot be erased.

The volume can be adjusted in the

(Set up) menu (p. 48).

Display an image with a sound
memo attached (p. 98) and press
the SET button.

• Images with sound memos attached have

the

symbols displayed on them.

• The sound memo control panel will display.

Use the

or

button to select

(Play) or

(Erase) and press the

SET button.

(Play)

• The sound memo will play. Playback will

stop when you press the SET button.
Press the SET button again to resume
playback.

• Use the

or

button to adjust the

sound volume.

(Erase)

A confirmation menu will display. Use the

or

button to select [Erase] and press

the SET button.

To return the playback to the beginning,
select

(Pause) while stopped and press

the SET button.
