Ans.:
Ifthe following actions were executed,
the monitor driver may need to be re
installed.
•
Changed video graphic adapter to another
one
•
Updated video driver
•
Activities on OS, such as service pack or
patch
•
Run Windows Update and updated
monitor and/or video driver
•
Windows was booted with the monitor
power off or disconnected.To ^nd out,
please right click My Computer and click
on Properties->Hardware-> Device
Manager If you see “Plug and Play Monitor”
shows under Monitor; then you need to
re-install. Simply remove SmartControl
Premium and re-install it.
Q3. After installing SmartControl Premium,
when clicking on SmartControl
Premium tab, nothing shows up after a
while or a failure message shows, what
happened?
Ans.:
It might be your graphic adaptor is not
compatible with the SmartControl
Premium. Ifyour graphic adaptor is one
ofthe above mentioned brands, tryto
download the most updated graphic
adaptor driverfrom corresponding
companies'web site. Installthe driver
Remove SmartControlPremium, and
re-install it once more.
If it is stillnot working, we are sorry that
the graphic adaptor is not supported.
Please visit Philips website and check
ifan updated SmartControlPremium
driver is available.
Q4. When I click on Product Information,
only partial information is shown, what
happened?
Ans.:
It might be your graphic card adaptor
driver is not the most updated
version which fully supporting DDC/
CI interface. Pleasetryto download
the most updated graphic adaptor
driverfrom corresponding companies'
web site. Installthe driver Remove
SmartControlPremium and re-install it
once more.
Theft mode enabled
Q5. I forgot my PIN for Theft Deterrence
Function.What can I do?
Ans.:
Philips Service center has a right to
askfor legitimate identification and
authorization, in orderto establish
ownership ofthe monitor
Please note that the anti-theft
deterrence function is provided as a
convenient free option. Managing PIN
numbers isthe sole responsibility ofthe
individualuser orthe organization who
sets it.
In case the PIN number is forgotten,
Philips service center can re-set it
foryou at a nominalcharge after
verification ofownership. Please note
that this activity is not covered by
standard warranty terms.
Q6. In a monitor with the Smartlmage
feature, the sRGB scheme of color
temperaturefunction in SmartControl
Premium is not responding, why?
Ans.:
When Smartlmage is enabled, the sRGB
scheme is disabled automaticallyTo use
sRGB, you need to disable Smartlmage
with the @7 button at the front bezel
ofyour monitor
