Trouble ; Probable Cause Correction
Upper thread

Refer to threading instructions see page No. 11
and rethread machine
! Too much tension
Loosen tension on upper thread by turning
thread tension knob to lower number.
' Starting with take up
j in incorrect position ^ Always start sewing with take up lever in
highest position

Refer to needle setting instruction see page No. 8
1 Bent or eye of needle 1
too sharp ;
Try a new needle
j Bent or blunt needle ^
Discard all blunt or bent needles and replace
with new
