Draw a design on a material
ÎO be used as an appliqué
and cut it out. Place the
appliqué on the base fabric
with a stabilizer underneath
and baste in place or use
fusible web or spray.

Sew along the outer edge
using any of three preset
zigzag stitchs (stitch selection
dial No.9.
10. or 11),
depending on the shape and
size of appliqué and type of
the base fabric.

¡0 change direction at
corners or to sew very small
circles, stop the machine,
positioning the needle slightly
away from the edge of the
appliqué, lift the presser foot
and turn the fabric. Lower the
presser foot and continue
sewing.
