Trouble Shooting Chart
Problem Cause Remedy
1 Engine fails to start A Blade conti ol handle

A Engage blade control handle.
B Check fuel tank for gas B Fill tank if empty.
C Fuel shut-off valve closed C Cpen fuel shut-off valve.
D Spark plug lead wire discon­
nected.
D Connect lead wire.
E Throttle cor trol lever not in E Move throttle lever to start
the starting position position.
F Faulty spare plug F Spark should jump gap be­
tween control electrode and
side electrode. If spark does
not jump, replace the spark
plug.
G Carburetor improperly ad- G Remove spark plug, dry the
justed, eng ne flooded plug, crank engine with plug
removed, and throttle in off po­
sition. Replace spark plug and
lead wire and resume starting
procedures.
H Old stale gcsoline H Drain and refill with fresh
gasoline.

instructions.
