13. Software
update
How do you update the software of your Dreambox DM600 PVR?
Prerequistes:
- PC with Windows operating system
- DreamUp Software (most recent version online:
http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de )
- 1 serial null modem cable
- 1 network cable
Disconnect the power to your Dreambox
first.
Run the DreamUp software on your
computer.
Select COM1 or COM2 according to the
port to which you have connected the null
modem cable.
Check the box in front of „Use Network“ if
your Dreambox is connected to your PC via
a network cable.
You can update the software without a
network cable, but ths will take at least 30
minutes.
Put your computer’s IP into the „Local IP
(PC)“ field and your Dreambox’s IP into the
„Remote-IP (Box)” field.
Press the “Connect” button and reattach the
power cable to your Dreambox.
