19. Echo IC (U28): Build the circuit shown at
right, turn it on, and set the knob on the
500kW adjustable resistor (RV3) to the
right. Press any keys on the keyboard; you
should hear tones with echo, and be able
to adjust echo level using the lever on the
adjustable resistor (RV). Removing the
1mF capacitor (C7) should reduce the
volume a little. Sometimes an echo IC
problem can be fixed by turning the circuit
off and back on to reset it.
