Connecting the Digital Output

The STM23R features a digital output labelled “OUT”. This output closes to signal

a fault condition.

This output can be used to drive LEDs, relays and the inputs of other electronic

devices like PLCs. The “+” (collector) and “-” (emitter) terminals of the output transistor are available at the con-

nector. This allows you to configure the output for current sourcing or sinking.

Diagrams of each type of connection follow.

Do not connect the output to more than 30VDC.

The current through the output terminal must not exceed 80 mA.
