1.5.6 Redundant Switch Unit (RSU)
The RSU-503L (Figure 1-5) is an all-weather unit that provides for primary and backup
operation as a communications terminal. The RSU is designed for mounting on either the
antenna or support pole. The RSU controls the switching from primary to backup service
in a 1:1 redundant configuration.
