Changing the Engine Oil

The Engine on your machine is not equipped with an Oil Drain Plug and will
require some disassembly to fully drain the Oil. There is however an Oil
Suction Pump available to make draining the Oil easier. Please visit our web
site at www.DRPower.com or call 1-800-DR-OWNER (376-9637) for assistance.

Tools and Supplies needed:

SAE 30 HD Oil (refer to your Engine Owner’s Manual for quantity required)

Suitable container for used oil

Rags

3/8" Wrench

Note: Drain the oil when the Engine is warm. Warm oil drains quickly and

completely.

1. Remove the Belt as described in the “Replacing the Drive Belt” section in

this Chapter.

2. Remove the six Flange Bolts that secure the Engine Mount to the Frame

using a 3/8" Wrench (Figure 34).

3. Make sure to securely tighten the Gas Fill Cap.

4. Remove the Oil Cap/Dipstick and position a suitable oil receptacle beside

the Oil Fill Tube.

5. Lift the Engine and mount up and then set it down into the Frame cavity

(Figure 35).

6. Tip the Engine and Mount to drain the oil out through the Oil Filler Tube.

7. Position the Engine Mount onto the Frame and secure with the six Flange

Bolts using a 3/8" Wrench (Figure 34).
