Parking Brake Cable Adjustment

Note:

The parking brake cable is factory set (Figure 22). If you think the parking brake

cable needs to be adjusted, you may actually need to replace the parking brake pads.
See below.

Changing the Parking brake Pads

Note:

If your DR POWERWAGON 5.0 rolls on slopes when the parking brake is set,

and you have tried adjusting the parking brake, the parking brake pads may need to be
replaced.

Tools & Supplies Needed:

1/2" wrench or socket

Mat or container for loose parts

Note:

You may want to remove the wheel to provide easier access to the parking brake

area. (See page 21)
1. Find a level area to work. The parking brake should NOT be engaged. Chock the

wheels so the machine cannot move.

2. Locate the parking brake caliper at the right front of the machine (Figure 23).

Remove the two caliper bolts holding the parking brake caliper with a 1/2" wrench,
then carefully remove the caliper.

WARNING!

Before performing any maintenance procedure, stop the

engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.
