BRAKE ADJUSTMENT

(Deadmanʼs control clutch lever)

Transmission: Gear oil 1,4 litre

IP PONTIAX

SAE: 80/90

Hydraulic dumper oil: 1.5 lt

AGIP SIGMA S

SAE 30

Replacement of transmission oil first time: after 50 hours.

Subsequently: every 500 hours.

In order to prevent seizing and rusting, make sure that all the moving parts are greased or lubricated.

If the supply of oil is neglected, not only will the engine fail to run smoothly, but a breakdown may occur

and the life of the unit be shortened.

Therefore, always be sure to supply oil of the prescribed quality and quantity as follows (fig. 21):

For travel clutch adjustment use clutch wire adjustment nut as shown on figure 22.

In case travel clutch doesnʼt actuate properly, turn the adjust nut to the direction B.

In case the v-belt is slippery, turn the adjustment nut to the direction A.

After adjustment, tighten the lock nut securely.

The brake adjustment is among the most important of the adjustments. If the parking brake becomes

even a little loose, please adjust it immediately. Always be mindful of safety.

To adjust the brakes, use the adjust nut indicated in the drawing 23.

In case that the brake doesnʼt work well:

Adjust the brake wire length by turning adjust nut to the direction A, and as based on the “STOP” mode

of the deadmanʼs control clutch lever adjust the brake wire extending the length of the spring by 2 mm.

This spring connects transmission and brake wire. Adjust nuts are available either at handle side or

transmission side.

When adjustment cannot be made at both handle side and transmission side, then the brake shoes are

worn out and have to be replaced. (For replacing brake shoes please contact our distributor).

After adjustment, tighten the lock nut securely.
