Deflasking and finishing
Open the completely cooled flask and remove plaster. Check
occlusion of the denture. Subsequently, finish and polish in
the usual manner.
Repair and correction possibilities of ProBase Hot
Corrections and repairs can be carried out with the cold-
curing ProBase Cold material, using the pouring technique.
Thoroughly roughen the corresponding surfaces and wet
them with monomer.
Warnings
– The monomer contains methyl methacrylate (MMA).
– Methyl methacrylate is easily flammable and irritating
(flash point +10 °C / 50 °F).
– Irritating to eyes, skin, and respiratory system.
– May cause sensitization by skin contact.
– Avoid contact of the skin with monomer or uncured
material. Commercial medical gloves do not provide
protection against the sensitizing effect of
methacrylates.
– Do not breathe vapour.
– Keep away from sources of ignition – no smoking.
– Do not empty into drains.
– Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Storage
– Store material in a cool, dark, well-ventilated place.
Storage temperature: 2–28 °C (36–82 °F).
– Do not use the materials after the indicated date of
expiration.
– Keep out of the reach of children.

ProBase
® Hot setzt einen Qualitätsstandard in Bezug auf die
Verarbeitung, Form- und Farbstabilität sowie höchsten Trag -
komfort bei heisspolymerisierenden Prothesenkunststoffen.
Es stehen verschiedene Farben zur Verfügung. Unterschied-
liche Polymerisationsvarianten bieten viele Anwendungs-
möglich keiten.
Zusammensetzung
Pulver:
Polymethylmethacrylat, Weichmacher, Benzoylperoxid,
Pigmente
Flüssigkeit:
Methylmethacrylat, Dimethacrylat (Vernetzer), Katalysator
Indikation
– Totalprothetik
– Teilprothetik
– Kombinationsprothetik
– Unterfütterungen
Kontraindikation
– Direkten Kontakt von unpolymerisiertem Material im
intraoralen Bereich vermeiden.
– Bei erwiesener Allergie auf Bestandteile von ProBase
Hot.
Nebenwirkungen
In Einzelfällen wurden bei Polymethylmethacrylat-
Materialien lokale allergische Reaktionen beschrieben.
Verarbeitung
Vorbereiten
Ausgebrühte, gut gewässerte Gipsflächen zweimal mit
Ivoclar Separating Fluid isolieren und gut trocknen lassen.
Um den Verbund zur Prothesenbasis zu sichern, Zähne gut
anrauhen und mit Monomer benetzen.
– Gipsflächen zweimal isolieren.
– Wachsmodellation muss mit Gips in die Küvette
eingebettet werden.
Dosierung
– Ideales Mischverhältnis für eine Prothese:
22,5 g Pulver : 10 ml Monomer
– Mit Dosiersystem:
1 Markierung Polymer : 10 ml Monomer
Dosiersystem
Das integrierte Dosiersystem ergibt ein ideales Misch -
verhältnis und die geringste Polymerisationsschrumpfung
von ProBase Hot. Der Messzylinder für Polymer zeigt die
Menge für eine oder zwei Prothesen von mittlerer Grösse
an. Die Markierung am Monomerzylinder weist eine Mili-
liter-Skala auf. Jeweils an gegebene Menge abmessen.
