external power supply for redundant

power backup.

These stand-alone SNMP managed Gigabit switches are powerful and versatile

switches that provide Gigabit connection to the departmental desktops. These

switches eliminate network bottlenecks and give network administrators the

capability to fine-tune performance and set up security. They support standards

based network management protocols (SNMP/RMON/ BOOTP1/Telnet/Web) and

can be easily integrated with most third-party network management products.

These switches provide advanced features to facilitate the deployment of

applications across a departmental network, such as VoIP, streaming media, and

multicast content delivery (IP video, software deployment etc). With high Gigabit

port densities and multiple SFP support, these switches can easily adapt to changes

in users’ media requirements without the need to perform expensive upgrades.

ENTRy-LEVEL GIGABIT

Stack

● Fault Tolerant Ring Stacking

» Any broken link between two units in a stack

will not affect inter-switch traffic as the traffic is
redirected toward the opposite direction.

● High-Speed Physical Stacking

» Two stacking ports on the back of each switch,

each port providing up to 5Gbps (10Gbps in

full-duplex mode) data transfer rate.

» Shared 20Gbps Ring stacking topology, ample

bandwidth for intra-stack traffic traveling

through the stacking cables.

● Scalable Expansion

» Up to 6 switch units per stack, up to 288 Gigabit

ports per stack

» Switch units can be gradually added as network

need grows.

» No interruption to network service or current

configuration as switch units are added to the

stack.

● Affordable Enterprise Features

» Include IP-MAC-port binding user access

screening, traffic segmentation, 802.1Q VLAN,

GVRP, Double VLAN, 802.1X port-based/

MAC-based access control.

» 802.1D Spanning Tree/802.1w Rapid

Spanning Tree/802.1s Multiple Spanning

Tree, loopback detection and broadcast storm

control for network resilience.

» 802.3ad Link Aggregation port trunks for stack

cascading and server link.

● Complete Set of Access Control

List (ACL)

» Up to 256 profiles, 255 centralized rules for

individual switch ports or range of ports.

» ACL rules can be based on switch port, VLAN

ID, 802.1p Priority Queues, MAC address, IP

address, DSCP, protocol type, TCP/UDP port
and time-based ACL.

● Quality of Service

» Multi-level packet classification based on

802.1p Priority Queues, TOS, DSCP, IP/MAC
addresses and TCP/UDP port number.

● Bandwidth Control

» Fine granularity to define limits down to

64Kbps segments for each port.

» Flow-based bandwidth control.

● Multicasting

» IGMP and MLD snooping to control multicast

transmission.

»Port mirroring to facilitate diagnostics.

● Safeguard Engine

» Prevents ARP broadcast storm and protocol-

based worm/virus attacks.

» ASIC is used to execute this prevention task to

offload switch’s CPU workload.

● Pre-set Configuration File

» Administrators can pre-set configurations

and save them as configuration files in TFTP
server for download to switches.

● DHCP Auto-Configuration

» Administrators can pre-set configuration in

DHCP server for application in switches when

they fetch their IP from this server.

These managed Layer 2 Gigabit switches provide an entry-level SNMP management

solution for businesses. Workgroups looking for a flexible, advanced yet affordable solution

can deploy these switches to bring managed Gigabit connection to their desktops.

These switches provide high Gigabit port densities, SFP fiber options and physical

stacking. The stacking feature offers scalable expansion: switches can be stacked up

to 6 units or 288 Gigabit ports per stack on a per-need basis to accommodate network

growth. The two stacking ports on the back of each switch provide 5Gbps per-port

bandwidth (10Gbps in full-duplex mode) for physical Ring stacking in a fault-tolerant

topology. Expansion beyond a single stack is possible using Gigabit port trunks between

stacks, or from stack to network backbone and server paths.

These switches include more advanced software features than similar devices of

the same class, allowing administrators to set up a secure network and fine-tune the

workgroup performance. These features include a complete set of Access Control List,

multi-level packet classification for Quality of Service and bandwidth management.
