Geocaching is a treasure hunting game where you use
a GPS device to search for geocaches—containers that
include a log for you to record your visit. Some geocaches
have trinkets you can take—just follow the “take one,
leave one” rule. To find out more about geocaching,
visit Geocaching.com.
On a PN-Series GPS, a geocache is a special type of
waypoint used for geocaching. The Geocaches Page lets
you view a list of the active geocaches on your device.
Geocaches are active on your device when you open
a waypoint file that contains geocaches.
You can also use the Find button to search for geocaches;
for more information see The Find Page section starting
on page 29.
To open the Geocaches Page, from any page go to MENU
> Geocaches. If you have added the Geocaches Page to
the PAGE button order, it is no longer available on menus.
Press the PAGE button until it appears.
Managing Geocache Files
Geocaches are managed using waypoint GPX files on an
SD card in your device; each file can contain up to 1,000
geocaches and child waypoints. For more information
about GPX files, see File Management on page 66.
Geocache List
The Geocaches Page displays a list of active waypoints
from the GPX file open on your device. The file name and
the number of geocaches and any child waypoints in the
file appear at the top of the page. When you highlight
