feature and to calibrate the electronic compass and the
barometric altimeter.
For more information about the compass and altimeter,
see the Compass and Altimeter section starting on
page 67.
From any page, go to MENU > Device Setup >
Compass & Altimeter.
Select the check box to enable the option.
 Enable Electronic Compass–If this is not selected,
the device uses the GPS compass.
 Enable Barometric Altimeter–If this is not selected,
the device uses the GPS elevation.
 Auto Calibrate Altimeter–Allows the altimeter
to automatically calibrate.
To calibrate the compass or altimeter
From any page, go to MENU > Device Setup >
Compass & Altimeter > Calibrate, select Calibrate
Compass or Calibrate Altimeter, and then follow
the on-screen instructions.
To restore the default settings
To restore the default settings for Compass and
Altimeter options, go to MENU > Device Setup >
Compass & Altimeter > Restore Defaults.
Sound
The Sound options control sounds and volume.
To modify the sound settings
From any page, go to MENU > Device Setup > Sound.
Use the drop-down lists to select the various available
sound settings or turn the sound off.

 Message
 Power
 Turn Alert
To modify the volume of all sounds
You can adjust the volume of all sounds.
From any page, go to MENU > Device Setup > Sounds
> Volume. To adjust the volume, use the arrow keypad
to move the slider right or left.
To restore the default settings
To restore the default settings for Sound options, go
to MENU > Device Setup > Sound >
Restore Defaults.
Time
Use the Time options to modify the device’s time format,
time zone, and Daylight Saving Time preferences.
