Serial Communication
NOTE: Hardware handshaking must be used with the SMC–4000. If it
is impossible to implement hardware handshaking, use a jumper
between pins 1 and 4 in the connector.
NOTE: Do not connect pin 5 to a 24V ground. This would defeat the
opto isolation.
