You can connect the BeoLab Transmitter 1 to a

Bang & Olufsen audio or video system, or to a
non-Bang & Olufsen system to make a wireless
setup with your wireless speakers.

This guide tells you about first-time setup of the

BeoLab Transmitter 1.

Your Bang & Olufsen retailer can provide you

with the correct cables for your setup. Be aware
that TOSLINK cables should not be bent more
than a radius of 30 mm (1.18"), since this can
cause disturbances in the sound.

Depending on the type of television or audio
system in your setup, cable connection and
wireless setup procedure will differ and it is
recommended to note which sockets on your
transmitter are connected to which sockets on

your audio or video system. For more information,
see www.bang-olufsen.com.

To guarantee a working wireless connection, all

speakers must be placed within a distance of 12
metres (39 ft.) from the transmitter.

Do not place any obstacles in front of the
transmitter or speakers, as this may interfere with
the wireless connection. The speakers should be
placed in one room, and all wireless speakers
should be visible from the transmitter.

Reset of the transmitter
If you for some reason need to reset the settings

you have made for a setup, for example, if you

replace your speakers, you must press and hold
the SELECT and STORE buttons simultaneously
for more than 1.5 seconds. Your speakers should

flash green after a reset, if not, you must also reset
the speakers that have been set up to the
transmitter to be able to reconfigure them. See
the guide enclosed with your speakers.

Wireless sound
When you switch on a source, it takes several
seconds before sound is heard in the speakers,
during which time a stable wireless connection is
established between the transmitter and speakers.
