Sampling a Sound and Playing it on the Keyboard (Sampling)

Use the following procedure to replace a percussive
instrument with a sampled sound you sampled with short
sampling and play auto accompaniment rhythms (page
EN-28) with it.

1.

Each press of

cl

(VOICE PERCUSSION) button

toggles between the VOICE PERCUSSION mode
and the normal rhythm mode.

• The VOICE PERCUSSION indicator will be on the

display while the VOICE PERCUSSION mode is
selected.

Start rhythm play (page EN-28).

• Some rhythm part sounds are replaced by sampled

sounds you sampled with short sampling.

• In the VOICE PERCUSSION mode, the rhythm

accompaniment volume level is balanced with the volume
of the sampled sound. Because of this, the rhythm
accompaniment (chords and obbligato) volume level will be
lowered automatically.

Press

(FUNCTION) a number of times until

“SampAuto” appears on the display (page
EN-4).

Press

(10-key) [–] key to select the OFF

setting.

This enables manual sampling. When this setting is
selected, sampling starts as soon as you release

step 2 under “Long Sampling” (page EN-12) or step 2
under “Short Sampling” (page EN-13).

• When the above setting is “oFF”, sampling starts when

you release

, not when you press it. Sampling will

not start if you keep

depressed.

While holding down

(10-key) [0] button, press

to turn power back

on again.

• Make sure the digital keyboard is not connected to a

computer when performing the above steps. Otherwise,
data may not be deleted correctly.

(SAMPLED TONES/EFFECTS 1).

• This will cause the confirmation message “Sure?” to

appear.

(10-key) [YES] key to delete the data

or

(10-key) [NO] key to cancel.

Hold down the SAMPLED TONES/EFFECTS
button (

• This will cause the confirmation message “Sure?” to

appear.
