Operating problems
Problems you may have while using the scanner often involve the
operation of your software and computer. Operation problems
usually occur because of:
❏ Incorrect setup of the interface (see Chapter 2).
❏ Inappropriate selection of the scanner functions (see your
software documentation).
❏ Incorrect setup of your computer or software (see Chapter 2
in this guide or the software documentation).
❏ Incorrect operation of your software (see your software
documentation).
Also see the documentation that came with your computer and
printer for possible solutions.
The Operate light does not come on.
Cause What to do
The scanner is off. Press the
P operate button to turn on
the scanner.
The scanner is not
connected correctly. Make sure the power cord is
connected to the scanner and plugged
into a power outlet.
The scanner does not scan.
Cause What to do
The scanner is not ready
to scan. Wait until the operate light is green
(ready for scanning).
