When OCR is selected as the Image
Type, change OCR to Line Art, then
change the Threshold setting in the
Image Control dialog box. See “Image
Controls” on the online Software
Reference Guide.
Scanned image is too large.
Cause What to do
Destination setting is
unsuitable. Select Screen/Web as the
Destination setting (page 4-13).
Selecting a printer as the Destination
setting (page 4-13), the print size will
appear in the correct size even if the
image is enlarged on the screen in
some application .
Poor character recognition during OCR scanning.
Cause What to do
Image Type setting is
unsuitable. Select OCR as the Image Type setting.
Threshold setting is
unsuitable. Try adjusting the Threshold setting in
the Image Controls dialog box.
Background noise on the
document. Select Text Enhancement
Technology
from the B/W Option in
the Image Type dialog box.
