To remove and replace the HP 16500L interface module
HP 16500B and HP 16500L
1 1 Using previous procedures, remove the following assemblies:

Top cover
2 If your system includes an expansion frame, disconnect the interface cable from the
HP 16500L interface module by pressing the release tabs on either side of the cable
connector while pulling the connector away from the card.
3 Disconnect the cable from the HP 16500L interface module to the CRT monitor and
the two cables from the HP 16500L interface module to the CPU card.
4 Remove the two screws connecting the HP 16500L interface module to the sheet
metal plate and the four screws connecting the HP 16500L interface module to the
mainframe rear panel.
5 Slide the card out the back of the mainframe.
6 Insert the replacement card in the back of the mainframe, then install the screws
and connect the cables.
The module serial number is located on the module rear panel. If you need to keep the same
serial number with your system, then remove the rear panel from the old interface module and
install it on the replacement module. The module rear panel is connected to the module circuit
board with four screws.
