3. Wipe any debris and excess oil or shortening
from the bottom of the pan. The paper must
lay flat and seal around the edges for proper
filtration. Replace the filter paper support
screen removed in Step 2.
NOTE: Failure to replace the paper
support screen prior to paper installation
will result in filter system malfunction.
4. Lay one sheet of filter paper over the top of
the filter pan, overlapping on all sides.
5. Position the hold-down ring over the filter
paper and lower the ring into the pan,
allowing the paper to fold up around the ring
as it is pushed to the bottom of the pan.
