DX-NT400E Digital Recorder

Owning to a WEVELET method, high picture quality re-
cording of more than 450 lines for the horizontal resolu-
tion and extended recording time are realized. The DX-
NT400E has 5 user selectable recording picture grades
and 12 recording time modes. The DX-NT400E also has
a built-in 4 camera multiplexer with motion detection per
input. Individual field recording per input in both normal
and alarm recording are supported. Normal VCR like
functions such as a menu, timer and rear terminals are
featured.

Built-in 4-input multiplexer functions

• Split-screen display

The screen mode can be switched such as single screen,
SPLIT4 screen and sequential screen display.

• Motion detection

This function detects moving objects captured by any of
the 4 cameras connected to the unit, and initiates alarm
recording. The following settings can be made separately
as desired: motion detection area, detection area divided
by 16 x 12 dots, sensitivity of motion detection, minimum
dot-count for initiating alarm recording, and restriction of
motion detection function.

• Operational status display function

The operational status of this unit can be displayed on the
top or bottom of the screen.

Various recording functions

By completely separating normal recording settings and
alarm recording settings, further detailed settings are pos-
sible such as changing the recording intervals only for the
camera input with alarm signals while maintaining normal
recording settings as they are.

• Emergency recording

When the emergency signal is input, the unit starts
recording forcibly in the maximum recording interval and
the maximum recording picture quality by using the camera
specified for alarm recording or normal recording.

• Mirror recording

Mirror recording to prevent data loss due to the HDD crash
is available.

• Partition recording

Alarm images can be recorded in a designated area within
HDD to keep alarm images longer than normal recording.
The partition area can be set from 10% to 90% of HDD
capacity.

• Recording interval setting for each camera

The recording intervals and recording picture quality can
be set individually for each connected camera.

Timer recording operation

• Timer recording program

4 types of camera patterns, recording intervals, recording
picture quality for normal recording and alarm recording
can be registered. Furthermore, individual settings can
be made for pre-alarm recording and motion detection
function as well.

• Timer holiday specification

Holidays throughout the year can be set in advance.

Versatile functions to support surveillance

• Removable HDD tray

Owning to the removable structure, attaching or removing
the HDD is possible. The removable HDD tray supports
the high-capacity HDD (supports 2 TB per ID).

• Audio recording function

1-channel PCM audio recording mode is featured.

• Image-alteration recognition function

Processing of each image recorded using a proprietary
image-alteration recognition technology.

• Excellent expandablility

Standard RS-232C interface for remote PC control, and
various control terminals are equipped.

• Pre-alarm Recording function

Recording of images before the alarm sensor detects
disturbances is also available.

• Simultaneous recording/playback function

Recorded data on the hard disk can be played back while
recording.

• Variety of search functions

Pressing the SEARCH button on the remote control
displays the SEARCH menu for immediate search opera-
tion. This function is convenient when repeatedly
performing searches.

• Covert camera function

You can set the video of the specified camera number not
to be displayed regardless of its presence.

IMPORTANT

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol,
within an equilateral triangle, is intended to
alert the user to the presence of uninsulated
“dangerous voltage” within the product’s
enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude
to constitute a risk of electric shock to
persons.

Network

On the personal computer connected to the Internet using
Microsoft Internet Explorer, the image screen such as live
images, search and playback image can be displayed.
The MODE OUT terminals which can be controlled via
PC are equipped. (The specified application is required.)

• E-mail/Alarm notification function

The message of warning signal or status change of the
unit can be transmitted to the personal computer. (The
specified application is required.)

• LAN software for applications in great variety

Optional software with high-quality communication
functions.

Ease of use

• Auto set-up

By selecting only the recording period, the unit assigns
recording interval and picture grade automatically for all
the channels and other menu settings are set to the default.
