MAIN HDD DATA CLEAR/SUB HDD DATA CLEAR

This menu is used to erase the data recorded on the MAIN
HDD or SUB HDD.

<MAIN HDD DATA CLEAR>

When executing “MAIN HDD DATA CLEAR” while

mirroring function is in operation, all the data will be
erased.

Data cannot be erased while the HDD is

accessed such as recording/playback.

When executing HDD CLEAR while the pre-alarm

recording is set, the first pre-alarm recording of the
HDD may be displayed in the incorrect number.

1. Press the SET UP button

Select “MAIN HDD DATA CLEAR” or

“SUB HDD DATA CLEAR” in the <INFORMATION/SERVICE>
screen. Press the ENTER button.

• “PUSH WARNING RESET KEY FOR 3 SECOND TO CLEAR”
appears on the bottom of the screen.
• To cancel erasing, press the CLEAR button.

When executing “MAIN HDD DATA CLEAR” or

“SUB HDD DATA CLEAR” while the PASSWORD of
level 4 has been registered and the lock is turned
on, <UNLOCK PASSWORD> screen appears. In
this case, release the lock first.

2. Press the WARNING RESET button for more than 3
seconds.

• “CLEARING ...” appears on the screen.

3. Press the CLEAR button or the SET UP button.

PASSWORD

This unit is equipped with 2 lock functions:
SIMPLE LOCK: Does not require to enter a password when
unlocking.
PASSWORD LOCK: Requires to enter a password when
unlocking.

• When the password for unlocking is not set, lock function
executes in SIMPLE LOCK.
• When the password for unlocking is set, lock function
executes in PASSWORD LOCK.

When the MAIN switch on the rear panel is set to

ON, SIMPLE LOCK/PASSWORD LOCK setting can
be made even with the POWER button on the front
panel set to OFF.

When the MAIN switch on the rear panel is set to

OFF or when a menu is displayed, SIMPLE LOCK
and PASSWORD LOCK do not function.

SIMPLE LOCK

When SIMPLE LOCK is turned on, buttons other than the
SPLIT/SINGLE, +, – , and ZOOM buttons, and the MAIN
switch become inoperable and the unit is locked in the
current mode.

To activate simple lock • • •

1. Press and hold the LOCK button for more than 3 seconds
while both the MAIN switch is set to ON.

• The lock turns on. “LOCK” displays on the screen when
“DUPLEX MODE DISPLAY” in <TIME DATE/DISPLAY
SETTINGS> screen is set to “TOP” or “BOTTOM.”

To release simple lock • • •

1. Press and hold the LOCK button for more than 3 seconds.

• The lock is released.

PASSWORD LOCK

There are 2 types of PASSWORD LOCK, “OPERATION
CONTROL” and “HDD DATA CLEAR.”
“OPERATION CONTROL” has 3 levels of lock (level 1 to 3).
“HDD DATA CLEAR” (level 4) locks the settings of “MAIN
HDD DATA CLEAR” and “SUB HDD DATA CLEAR.”

<Using “OPERATION CONTROL” of PASSWORD
LOCK (level 1 to 3)>

1) Input the PASSWORD of levels 1 to 3.

2) Set the PASSWORD LOCK.

• The PASSWORD LOCK of level 1 turns on.

When the PASSWORD LOCK of level 1 turns

on, operations for all the functions are locked.

3) Unlock the PASSWORD LOCK of level 1.

• The PASSWORD LOCK of level 2 turns on.

When the PASSWORD LOCK of level 2 turns

on, only the SPLIT/SINGLE, +, –, and ZOOM buttons
are operable.

4) Unlock the PASSWORD LOCK of level 2.

• The PASSWORD LOCK of level 3 turns on.

When the PASSWORD LOCK of level 3 turns

on, the SET UP button and ALARM INTERRUPT
button are locked.

5) Unlock the PASSWORD LOCK of level 3.

• The PASSWORD LOCK of all the levels are released.

You can operate all the functions.

In the levels 1 and 2, press and hold the LOCK

button to display the <UNLOCK PASSWORD>
screen, and then input the PASSWORD to release
the lock.

In the level 3, press the SET UP button to display the
<UNLOCK PASSWORD> screen and then input the
PASSWORD.

When the MAIN switch on the rear panel is set to

ON, the PASSWORD can be registered, set, and
cancelled even when the POWER button on the front
panel is turned OFF.
