3. Operations

Displaying the firmware version

The Version command displays the firmware version.

To display the firmware version:

At the Switched PDU: prompt, type

version

and press

Enter

Performing a warm boot

The Restart command performs a warm boot of the Switched PDU.

NOTE: System user/outlet/group/port configuration or outlet states are NOT changed or reset with this
command.

To perform a warm boot:

At the Switched PDU: prompt, type

restart

and press

Enter

.

NOTE: A restart of the Switched PDU is required after setting or changing ANY TCP/IP configurations. See
Performing a warm boot for more information.

Setting the IP address

The Set Ipaddress command sets the TCP/IP address of the network interface controller.

To set the IP address:

At the Switched PDU: prompt, type

set ipaddress

, followed by the IP address and press

Enter

.

Example

The following command sets the IP address to 12.34.56.78:

Switched PDU: set ipaddress 12.34.56.78<Enter>

Setting the subnet mask

The Set Subnet command sets the subnet mask for the network the PT40 will be attached to.

To set the subnet mask:

At the Switched PDU: prompt, type

set subnet

, followed by the subnet mask and press

Enter

.

Example

The following command sets the subnet mask to 255.0.0.0

Switched PDU: set subnet 255.0.0.0<Enter>

Setting the gateway

The Set Gateway command sets the IP address of the default gateway the Switched PDU uses to access
external networks.

To set the gateway IP address:

At the Switched PDU: prompt, type

set gateway

, followed by the gateway IP address and press

Enter

.

Example

The following command set the gateway IP address to 12.34.56.1:

Switched PDU: set gateway 12.34.56.1<Enter>
