4. Press RECORD in the Sequencer.

On the top line of the Song/Style display ap-
pear the letters “MT” to indicate that the Met-
ronome is active. On the bottom line at the
center, the chord track is shown as being
active to record data by the indication
“Chord=Rec”. If you don’t want to play with
the metronome, press the METRONOME
button in the SONG EDIT section.

5. Press either PLAY or START/STOP to start the re-

cording.

Pressing PLAY starts the sequencer to record
the keyboard track(s) only.

Pressing START/STOP starts the sequencer
to record the chords that trigger the auto ac-
companiments of the Style.

A metronome will beat time (drum sticks) and
you will have a one measure lead into the
recording to get ready.

Note: If you want to synchronize the start of

the recording with the keyboard tracks and
accompaniments, press KEY START and start to
play on the keyboard. Recording starts instantly

with no countdown into the recording.

6. Start playing after the one bar lead.

Any notes you play during the lead-in will not
be recorded.

During the recording, use the Style controls
as you would when playing a Style:

• Use the Fills;

• Change Variation;

• Change Style (even with a different Time
Signature - e.g. from 4/4 to 3/4), etc.....
