MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the Model W1740 is relatively easy. From time to

time, vacuum wood dust off of the internal components,

especially the motor.

Cleaning

For optimum performance from your machine, follow this

maintenance schedule and refer to any specific instructions

given in this section.

Daily

Loose mounting bolts.

Worn switch.

Worn or damaged cords or plugs.

• Damaged or worn sandpaper

• Damaged or worn V-Belt

• Any other unusual condition.

Weekly

• Lubricate pillow block bearings (

Monthly

• Lubricate lift screws (

Page.24)

• Lubricate drive chain (

Page.24)

Semi-Annual

•. Lubricate helical gears (Page.24).

Schedule

MAKE. SURE. that. your. machine. is.

unplugged.during.all.maintenance.pro-

cedures!.If.this.warning.is.ignored,.seri-

damage.and.wear.could.result.in.unsatisfactory.work.

always. disconnect. the. drum. sander. from. its. power.

adjust any features of the machine

while it is running. Wait until the

machine is turned OFF, unplugged, and

all working parts have come to a rest
