Voice Guide Volume

(Menu 4-3)

You can adjust the volume of the voice prompt when
using the voice functions.

Use the

and

keys or the volume keys on the left

side of the phone. The more bars you see, the greater
the volume.

Connection Tone

(Menu 4-4)

This menu option allows you to specify whether the
phone should beep when the phone connects to the
network. The following options are available.

Off: the phone does not beep.

On: the phone beeps when your call is accepted.

Key Tone

(Menu 4-5)

This menu option allows you to select the tone that the
keypad generates when you press a key. The following
options are available.

Off: the keys do not make any sound.

Tone: each key, when pressed, makes a different sound.

Beep: each key, when pressed, makes the same sound.

To adjust the key tone volume, press the volume keys on
the left side of the phone in idle mode with the phone
open.

Alert type: lets you specify how you are informed of
any incoming calls.

Light only: only the service light on the folder comes
on.
Melody: the phone rings using the melody selected
via the Melody option (see page 81).
Vibration: the phone vibrates but does not ring.
Vibration then melody: the phone first vibrates and
then starts ringing.

Messages

(Menu 4-2)

This option allows you to set up the ringer for
incoming messages.

The following options are available.

Tone: lets you choose between many different tones.
Each time you select a tone from the list, the tone is
played.

Alert type: lets you specify how you are informed of
any incoming messages.

Silent: only the text notification appears; the phone
neither rings nor vibrates.
Tone: the phone rings using the tone selected via the
Tone option (see above).
Vibration: the phone vibrates but does not ring.
Vibration then tone: the phone first vibrates and then
starts ringing.

Repetition: allows you specify how often the phone
informs you of a new message. You can choose
between Once, Periodic and Continuous.
