Correcting dialing mistakes.

If you make a mistake while dialing a phone number, press

to erase one digit at a time. You can delete the entire number at once

by pressing

or by pressing and holding

.

Answering calls.

First, keep in mind that the power must be on to receive calls. When

you have an incoming call, the ringer sounds or the phone vibrates,

“Incoming Call” flashes on the display screen and the green light illu-

minates. Simply extend the mouthpiece to answer. If the mouthpiece is

extended when the phone rings, press

to answer. To discon-

nect when you’re through, just press

or close the mouthpiece.

Adjusting the volume.

The dial adjusts the earpiece volume during a call. Simply rotate the

dial to obtain the volume you want. To adjust the ringer volume,

rotate the dial while the phone is ringing.

Silencing the ringer.

If you want to silence the ring of all incoming calls, turn the dial down

while the phone is ringing or use the Sounds menu to turn the ringer

off (see page 43). The Sounds menu also lets you set your phone to

vibrate rather than ring.

Muting the microphone.

To mute the microphone during a call, press and hold the dial.

When the microphone is muted, the other party cannot hear you.

To unmute, simply press and hold the dial again. You can also mute

and unmute the microphone using the Sounds menu (see page 44).

Finding out that you’ve missed a call.

If you miss incoming calls, your phone’s screen will display a

message telling you how many calls have been missed. To erase

the display, press either

,

or the dial. If the caller’s

number wasn’t blocked from Caller ID, the number will be stored in

the Calls List (see page 35).

Redialing calls.

To redial the last call you made from your Sprint PCS Phone, just

extend the mouthpiece and press

two times. You can also

use your Calls List to redial any of the last 10 calls that you either

placed, received, missed or added to your Scratch Pad. (See page 35

for more information.)

Preparing your own emergency numbers.

You can save up to three emergency phone numbers on your Sprint

PCS Phone in addition to 911. These numbers can be dialed even if
