6.4 Preparation Before Installation

CAUTION

Wear insulated gloves and take other precautions when connecting the batteries.

Otherwise electric shock can result.

There is a constant voltage (max. approx. 24V: approx. 12V

× 2) at the battery terminals.

Do not touch them with your hands or short circuit them. Bodily injury can result.

The battery connector cannot be inserted in the wrong orientation. If it does not go in,
do not try to force it. Doing so can damage the connector and result in electric shock.

Be careful not to get your hands caught when securing the cover.

Connect the battery connectors inside the front cover before installation of the UPS.
Proceed as follows to connect the battery connectors.

Remove the front panel of the UPS.

Remove the screw on the right side of the battery cover, and then remove the battery

cover.

Remove the insulation tape from the battery connector of the battery pack side.

Connect the battery connector.




Verify that Forced Bypass is set to “Inverter”.

Attach the battery cover.

Attach the front panel.


Remove 1 screw*, and remove

the battery cover by sliding in

the direction of the arrow.

Remove by sliding in the

direction of the arrow while

firmly pressing the two
locations indicated by ●

The connector cannot be inserted
in the wrong orientation. Check

the correct insert orientation, and

push in until you hear a click.

When a screw is used,
do not lose the removed screw.


When a non-dropping screw is used,

this screw cannot be removed from

the battery cover. Do not try to

detach it forcedly.

*Note for removing the screw

Remove the insulation tape
from the battery connector.

Forced Bypass switch should be inverter position.

First catch the claws on the right

side, then push the left side in.

Slide the cover in and secure with

the screw on the right side.

This completes the battery connector connection.
